On the set of the Grand Rendez-vous, on CNEWS this Sunday, February 27, the European Commissioner for the Internal Market Thierry Breton defended the military capacities of the European Union while Russia invades Ukraine.
“We are the second military power in the world” thanks to “the pooling of our resources”, underlined Thierry Breton.
“We have set up for the first time a defense fund to pool our investments,” he added, acknowledging that he was “aware” that it is a process that “takes time”.
The European Commissioner also highlighted the coalition of Western countries (United States, Canada, EU, etc.) which deliver arms to “support the resistance in Ukraine”.
