A family business in the Vendée, based in La Roche-sur-Yon, Groupe Atlantic employs 11,000 people in its 28 factories around the world. He manufactures heat pumps, water heaters, radiators, boilers under 20 brands (Sauter, Atlantic, Thermor). For more than ten years, turnover – 2.7 billion euros in 2021 – has been growing at an annual rate of 10%. In 1998, the heirs of the two founding engineers – Pierre Lamoure and Paul Radat – chose to hand over the reins to an outside manager. Thierry de Roquemaurel has been Managing Director France since 2020.

LE FIGARO. – The group, usually discreet, is less today. Why?
Thierry de ROQUEMAUREL. – We are going to recruit 1,000 employees in France this year (1,600 worldwide) in a very tight job market. We need to make ourselves better known to attract talent. Young graduates, in particular, do not turn spontaneously towards our sector of activity, out of ignorance.
