Can a marathon runner be more enduring than a Tesla Model 3 ?

This is the challenge that Robbie Balenger set himself, with 72 hours to manage to cover a greater distance than a Tesla Model 3.

Run Robbie! Course !

Remember, a few days ago, an American runner announced that he wanted to beat, in a given time (72 hours), the distance traveled by a Tesla Model 3. Concretely, the Tesla was driven at an average speed of 105 km/ h before seeing its battery give up the ghost after 402 kilometers.

Robbie Balenger therefore set off in pursuit of the car and followed an identical route, with the firm intention of running more than 402 kilometers in a time of 72 hours. An extraordinary challenge, which the sportsman finally completed in 76 hours, 54 minutes and 46 seconds very precisely.

Obviously, the runner was able to take various breaks during his challenge, with just under 9 hours in total spent without running. Admittedly, Robbie Balenger did not manage to achieve his objective in terms of time, but the performance remains exceptional.

Unfortunately, three consecutive days of over 30 degree weather killed that plan. In the end, I managed to outrun the Tesla in just under 77 hours. It was absolutely brutal, but we made it “, explains Robbie Balenger.

Note that this challenge is part of a long list of challenges sponsored by Ten Thousandas part of a series called Feats of Strength. Inside, an athlete tries each month to take up a new (and atypical) challenge.
