Lady Whistledown has revealed that the third season of the Netflix hit “Bridgerton” will have her as the central character.

The second season of “Bridgerton” has only just broken various Netflix records when planning for the third installment of the novel adaptation begins. Gossip expert Lady Whistledown aka Penelope Featherington has now revealed what will happen next. Their actress Nicola Coughlan (35) has now revealed via her official Instagram account proud that season three will revolve around her character and her love life.

For a black and white picture of herself and her series colleague Luke Newton (29), who embodies Colin Bridgerton, she wrote: “Like Lady Whistledown, I’ve been keeping a pretty big secret for a while … But I can finally tell you that the third season of ‘Bridgerton’ will be the story of Colin and Penelope.”

Newton also rejoices in the honorto be the focus of the third season. But he also knows about the dangers: “There is so much love for this relationship. And that increases the pressure because there are people who are really excited about this story coming into the spotlight.”

Different way than the template

It is also clear that the third season will not follow the order of the novel by Julia Quinn (52). After Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor, 27, season one) and Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathon Bailey, 34, season two), it’s actually all about the second oldest Bridgerton child, Benedict (Luke Thompson, 33).

However, it is quite possible that he will be able to search for love in a later season, as showrunner Shonda Rhimes (52) indicated: “There are eight Bridgerton siblings, so there are eight books. We definitely plan to follow each of their love stories “, she said “Entertainment Tonight”. Just not necessarily in the same order as has now come true.
