Some high-flying heists

While many individuals are directly targeted, high-end thugs prefer to attack personalities from upscale neighborhoods, where a single burglary can cost several hundred thousand euros. This was the case in November, in the Invalides district, where the heir to a large luxury family was robbed of more than 400,000 euros worth of jewelry and leather goods, or even rue Saint-Martin, in the 4e arrondissement, where a photographer saw the burglary of which she was the victim being valued at 140,000 euros. These cases are entrusted to investigators from the Paris judicial police.

Faced with this scourge, which worries Parisians more and more, the authorities have increased the number of pedestrian patrols in uniform to deter thieves and reassure the population. Clearly increasing, video surveillance cameras in the street, but also in the common areas of buildings and in housing, also allow investigators to elucidate a large part of burglaries. Without stopping the phenomenon.
