This 10-in-1 hub is a multitasker’s dream product

In the ever-changing world of technology, there is a situation that many people have experienced: the need for more ports on their computer and multi-monitor display options.

The main takeaways from the Baseus Docking Station 10-in-1 hub

  • The Baseus Docking Station 10-in-1 hub costs €70.
  • In addition to its ports, its display expansion options make it easy to use and does not take up too much space.
  • It can get a little warm under heavy load, and viewing video from an Android device is not supported.

In the early days of computing, adding ports and display options often required bulky laptop-specific docking stations, or video cards capable of supporting multiple displays. And then there was also Apple which made laptops with limited port options.

USB hubs have almost become a necessity with many laptops these days.

That’s where devices like this Baseus Docking Station 10-in-1 come in. Instead of having to work with a bulky docking station, you can opt for a device measuring around 14cm x 5cm that offers more options than most full-sized hubs.

My experience with the Baseus Docking Station 10-in-1 hub

At first, I doubted the usefulness of this device. However, it didn’t take long to see how wrong this assumption was and I now have great faith in the powers of this device!

What really impressed me was how easily you can cast your screen to a second monitor. Simply plug the secondary display into the hub’s HDMI port, then press the button once for Windows, or twice for MacOS, and the screen is streamed. In addition, you will have a complete docking station including a few additional ports, for example to read an SD and micro SD card since this hub has slots for both.

I tested this hub with my MacBook Pro and it worked without issue. I’m using a 2019 laptop that has the M1 processor and only has two USB-C ports. With this user-friendly hub, I don’t have to worry about my MacBook’s limited number of ports. And if I need to attach a second screen, I have my solution with this Baseus Docking Station 10-in-1. Of course, I could also just plug the monitor into the laptop, but in that case I’d need an HDMI to USB-C adapter and wouldn’t benefit from the multiple port options.

The best thing about the Baseus Docking Station 10-in-1 hub, and beyond its ability to expand a limited laptop’s connection options, is its smaller sizes. I can take this hub on a trip and use it as a simple port extender. And since the case is made of metal, it dissipates heat well. Certainly, the hub can heat up a little with prolonged or intensive use, but not so much that it poses a problem.

I have two other USB hubs, but they are both limited to USB 3.2 connections. And that’s often problematic. Having the Baseus 10-in-1 on hand means I don’t have to worry about having a suitable port available.

I was also able to use the hub with my Google Pixel 8 Pro: the smartphone can take advantage of the SD and micro SD card slots. This feature is another great bonus.

Purchasing advice for the Baseus Docking Station 10-in-1 hub

If you want to expand the port options on your laptop, or need to add an extra display, this Baseus Docking Station 10-in-1 is a great solution.

Although I was not able to test this hub on a Windows or iOS computer, I can certainly tell you that it works perfectly with MacOS and Android.
