Glycolic acid, champion of exfoliation and hydration
Glycolic acid is part of the family of fruit acids (AHA), in the same way as lactic acid, citric acid or malic acid. It is known for its exfoliating properties, which is why it is found in the composition of exfoliating lotions or toners, peeling masks or serums for combination to oily skin. Applied to the scalp, it allowseliminate dead cells, impurities and dandruffbut also to regulate sebum production.
For use on the scalp, choose formulas in the form of lotions, which will be dosed at 7% or 8% glycolic acid. The correct gesture: apply the lotion to the scalp, before shampooing, massage gently then leave for around fifteen minutes. Then wash your hair as usual. Perform this ritual 2 to 3 times a month according to your needs, then 1 to 2 times a month only when your scalp re-greases less quickly.
