Packed with 820 Wh of battery and a muscular Polini central motor, the Olympia Sled electric gravel bike wants to cross the Alps without tiring its rider.
The electric gravel bike is derived from the road bike with off-road aspirations. It has enjoyed real success for several years, largely thanks to its versatility. Very often, gravels aim for reduced weight and light assistance. But this newcomer from Italy offers a different vision: here is the Olympia Sled.
A huge battery for the Olympia Sled
Its geometry is clear from the start: we are in the presence of an electric gravel bike. Its inclined hydroformed aluminum frame and long carbon fork provide a raised, dynamic and engaged driving position. In addition to the four fixing points on the frame, the fork also includes 6 fixings, enough to equip it properly for bikepacking for example.

Above all, this adventure VAE relies on strong electrical assistance. Olympia entrusts it to the Polini E-P3+ central motor with a torque of 75 Nm, enough to swallow big drops without forcing too much, like the Nakamura gravel bike. Visible in the thick downtube, the Sled’s removable battery boasts 820 Wh of capacity. It is enormous !
Difficult to estimate autonomy on a gravel bike, but 100 km should be possible before using the last electron. On the other hand, this necessarily has a significant consequence on the weight: it is unknown here, but we are banking on at least 20 kg.
A muscular electric gravel bike that’s not so expensive
The Olympia Sled relies on a Shimano GRX groupset, via an 11-speed drivetrain, an RX812 derailleur and RX400 hydraulic disc brakes with 170mm rotors. The wheels are Miche Race Pro DX (or Fulcrum E-Racing 900 depending on availability) fitted with Schwalbe G-One Bite 622x50C (or CST Convoy) tires. The San Marco fixed saddle can also accommodate an optional Crankbrothers 80mm suspension post.

Available in a unique black-green color, the Olympia Sled is available from a handful of retailers in France. The price of this electric gravel bike ranges between 4,200 and 4,300 euros depending on the point of sale.
