Artificial intelligence continues to amaze us, this time with its ability to translate code into another programming language.
Artificial intelligence promises to replace many professions by automating tasks that are still currently done by hand. And among these, it seems that computer programming has something to worry about.
AI, the new programmer?
Artificial intelligence fascinates, despite the many flaws still present in this emerging technology. But while many people have begun to imagine a future facilitated by AI, others are beginning to worry about its impact on the world of employment. And the studies that come out have nothing to reassure, as shown by the latest report from Goldman Sachs, for which AI could well destroy some 300 million jobs on the planet.
A significant figure, obviously to be taken with a grain of salt, which is based on the number of tasks that artificial intelligence can do, including computer programming. That’s what we see today with this new AI-based code translator that can translate code from one language to another in one click!
Forty languages under the hood
McCkay Wrigley introduced us to this little gem on Twitter, simply called AI Code Translator. Rich in about forty languages, such as C++, JavaScript, Python or SQL, it benefits from the contribution of GPT-3.5 and even GPT-4 to allow you to switch from one language to another without doing anything d other than playing with the mouse. And if you want to know how it works, look below.
As you can see, the very refined interface allows an extremely intuitive use, which is reminiscent of the translators known to all such as DeepL or Google Translate. Just choose the original language on the left, the one to which it will be translated on the right, and click on the “Translate” button. So ! Soon an essential tool in companies?
