this aid of 900 euros has been extended for three months

The Minister of Labor, Élisabeth Borne, announced on her Twitter that the aid of 900 euros per month intended "for precarious, seasonal or intermittent workers, is extended by three months".

This Monday, February 15, 2021, in a press release, shared by the Minister of Labor Élisabeth Borne on her Twitter, it is mentioned that the aid of 900 euros per month intended for precarious, seasonal or intermittent workers, is extended by three months. "Announced in November 2020 for an initial period of four months, this emergency aid allows all those who have worked at least 138 days on a fixed-term or temporary basis (i.e. more than 60% of the annual working time), during the year 2019, but who were not able to work sufficiently in 2020 to recharge their rights to unemployment benefit due to the crisis, to benefit from a minimum income guarantee of 900 euros net per month, explains the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Integration. This aid, initially planned to cover the months of November, December, January and February is extended for the months of March, April and May 2021. "

"Given the uncertainties linked to the evolution of the health situation and the current difficulties of the labor market, I wanted this aid to be extended until the summer to protect precarious workers. Those who were working many in 2019 but chained short contracts, were severely penalized by the crisis ", said Élisabeth Borne.

100,000 potential beneficiaries

400,000 people have already benefited from a first payment made last week for the months of November and December, including "165,000 young people under 30". It is paid directly by the Pôle emploi to job seekers who meet the criteria set by the decree of December 30, 2020. A final payment, for the month of May, will take place in June. As the press release reminds us, Pôle Emploi sent a letter to more than 100,000 potential beneficiaries who still have to provide additional documents to be able to receive this aid. "The initial forecast of 450,000 precarious workers who could benefit from it will therefore be reached, or even exceeded", warns the ministry.
