TikTok has just revealed the most viewed video in 2023. Unsurprisingly, it’s a makeup tutorial that climbs to the top of the rankings with 504 million views and several tens of millions of likes.
Did you know, TikTok has 1.7 billion active users worldwide. This Wednesday, December 6, 2023, the platform has revealed the ranking of the most viral videos of the year and therefore the most viewed internationally.

This is a video published on March 8, 2023 by makeup artist Nyadollie on her account @dollievision. In this video, which has been viewed more than 504 million times, the young woman films herself doing a simple makeup routine, dressed in a pretty pink shirt. The influencer followed by 2.7 million people certainly did not expect her video to be so viral but her work and attention to detail have obviously paid off.
Originally from Sudan, this 23-year-old American very recently launched into TikTok since she only registered on the platform last January. Through Nyadollie’s videos, we find makeup tips for applying makeup to dark skin, tips and recommendations on inclusive beauty brands.
Just behind in the ranking, we find in second position a video published by the user @justinflom which shows a tutorial for making a ceiling light with the image of Iron Man then in third position a video showing the “biggest cat you have ever seen”.
