this beloved feature is finally back!

This is very good news for the most nostalgic, in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a very popular option from the first games will finally make a comeback.

With Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Ubisoft is playing the nostalgia card to attract the oldest fans in its community to rush on Basim’s adventure next fall. Those allergic to the very large open worlds of the last episodes should appreciate the smaller map ofAssassin’s Creed Mirage, which will bet everything on the charm of Baghdad, its narrow streets and its heights, as the saga did in its infancy. Proof that Ubisoft is clearly inspired by the opuses of yesteryear for this AC, the studio has just announced the return of an option extremely appreciated by fans which had disappeared in recent years.

Fans of the first games will be happy

In a new video posted on Ubisoft’s YouTube channel, several Ubisoft Bordeaux developers provide details on Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Sarah Beaulieu, narrative director of the project, discusses in particular the choice of entrusting Basim with the main role of her new opus. According to her, the characterFits the classic Assassin mold: deadly and resourceful with a complex personality“. Those who have played Assassin’s Creed Valhalla can only acquiesce.

Thanks to Jean-Luc Sala, artistic director of the game, we learn that an option particularly appreciated by the players present in Assassin’s Creed 2 And Brotherhood is making a comeback: customizing costume dyes. The video shows us that the colors of the Alamut outfit worn by Basim can be changed in the menu and that the choice of shades looks rather wide (the empty boxes suggest that some are missing). It specifies that players will be able to change the colors of “some outfits“, which means that not all of the character’s costumes should be customizable. This is still very good news for those who appreciated this feature at the time.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a divide with recent episodes

Assassin’s Creed Mirage also marks a return to the origins of the series by the absence of experience points. The learning of skills will be linear and will be done through the completion of missions and the advancement in the story. Basim will also have an arsenal of tools mainly useful for infiltration, such as a blowpipe capable of putting enemies to sleep, poisoning them or enraging them. Obviously, Master Assassin Roshan’s apprentice will always have the secret blade to discreetly eliminate his enemies. Beyond that, remember thatAssassin’s Creed Mirage will be the first game in the series’ history to have full Arabic dubbing. See you on October 12 on PC, PlayStation and Xbox to discover the epic of Basim in Baghdad concocted by Ubisoft Bordeaux.
