While waiting for James Gunn’s Superman Legacy, a superb series which has met with great success offers a preview of its new episodes. And it could be available soon in France.
The future of Superman will be written without Henry Cavill, who also left The Witcher series, but that does not seem to worry the new leaders of DC Studios. James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, Horribilis…) made a choice and is sticking to it. We will therefore not see the actor adored by Internet users again, but David Corenswet, who spent a lot of time in the gym to sculpt a body worthy of the Man of Steel, will succeed him. And this as part of the new film which wants to present a younger superhero, like this series which is a hit.
A DC series that is already a hit back, the first preview
Last summer, Adult Swim, a television channel of the Warner Bros Discovery group, broadcast the first episode of season 1 of My Adventures with Superman. An animated series that moves away from what we have seen until now. This animated production does not show an accomplished superhero, but rather an ordinary character who is unaware of his origins. We thus follow the evolution of Clark Kent, aged in his twenties, and his close allies. Lois Lane, not yet the Daily Planet’s award-winning journalist, and Jimmy Olsen. A photographer and above all Superman’s best friend, Clark Kent.
The series My Adventures with Superman therefore features the quest for identity and the construction of the three iconic characters of the franchise. This storyline bias as well as the animation excited fans of the DC superhero. My Adventures with Superman season 1 was applauded with many positive responses. “We need this sweet Superman more than ever” says Vulture. Faced with success, a season 2 was inevitable and here is the very first trailer. Spoiler alert!!!!
A teaser trailer for My Adventures with Superman Season 2
In this excerpt from My Adventures with Superman season 2, we see Jor-El warning his biological son, Kal-El aka Superman aka Clark Kent, of great danger. “Kal-El!” Come, my son. There is another one like you. But we are running out of time”. By studying the teaser trailer more closely, we can make out blonde hair, which would imply that it is Supergirl. Where to see My Adventures with Superman? Unfortunately, nowhere unless you have an uncle, cousin or aunt in the United States. The animated series is not yet distributed in France, but perhaps there will be something new by the end of the year. This summer, Warner Bros Discovery is due to launch its SVOD Max platform, formerly HBO Max, in our region.
