The literary prizes for the 2024 back-to-school season have revealed their winners. As the juries begin their first sorting, one of them has already particularly caught their attention since it has been selected for no fewer than three prestigious prizes, confirming the versatile talent of the author who is also a very well-known singer.
The literary rentrée is in full swing with the revelation of the first selections of the various prizes that reward the best works of the year 2024. While the selections will continue to be refined during the fall with two other phases, one book in particular has been critically acclaimed by being selected for three literary prizes including one of the most prestigious in France: the Prix Goncourt. If the 2023 vintage was particularly notable thanks to great female writers, that of 2024 is promising thanks to an artist very well known in particular for his singing talent.

It is the singer and writer Gaël Faye who achieves a feat by being selected not for one literary prize, but for three, the Prix Goncourt, the Prix Renaudot and the Prix Femina thanks to his second work, Jacaranda to the editions Grasset. Although he is known primarily for his talents as a musician and lyricist, it was in 2016 that he made his mark in the world of literature with his first novel, Small Country. An autobiographical book which achieved critical and commercial success, notably by winning the Prix Goncourt des Lycéens and being adapted for the cinema.
