this canceled solo DLC could have been crazy, it will make people disappointed

GTA 5 could have accommodated several interesting DLCs for the single player mode, which were ultimately partly transferred to GTA Online. One of them is talking about him again.

During a recent Q&A stream for GTA 5, Steve Ogg, the actor who lends his features and gestures to Trevor, mentioned one of the DLCs highlighting his iconic character. He filmed a few scenes in 2013 for an addition to the story mode of Rockstar Games’ bestseller, but all of this will ultimately never see the light of day.

The Lost Trevor of GTA 5

Of the iconic trio of GTA 5 protagonists, Trevor is the one who probably had the most impact on players. It owes its popularity mainly to its talented and dangerously hilarious interpreter Steven Ogg. The actor recently confided that he had filmed scenes as Trevor for a single-player DLC. This was to be part of a trilogy in 2013, if we are to believe elements datamined from the game last year. The other two bear the provisional names “Zombie Apocalypse” and “Alien Invasion”. “Agent Trevor”, which interests us here, was to complete the promising picture.

Trevor was going to be undercover, working for the feds. We shot some stuff for that in “James Bond Trevor” mode. Trevor was still crazy, but he was trying his best to look like a secret agent. But all that disappeared, Rockstar didn’t do anything about it “, confides Steve Ogg.

Priority to live and online

Those who mainly played GTA 5 for the single player mode have clearly lost out with these canceled DLCs. Rockstar unfortunately for them then turned entirely to the much more lucrative GTA Online mode. Some of the elements of the DLC planned for the single player have in fact been reused for its online counterpart. However, it is difficult to contradict the studio’s strategy.

If GTA 5 is still a very popular and widely played title 11 years after its release, it is mainly thanks to the regular injection of new content on GTA Online. The online part of Red Dead Redemption 2 unfortunately did not have the same favorable treatment. The future will tell us if the extremely anticipated GTA 6 will be able to enjoy as much longevity as its illustrious predecessor.
