Florent Pagny is back. In January 2022, the coach of The Voice spoke on his behalf instagram to announce that he had lung cancer. Unfortunately, his tumor was inoperable. Faced with the extent of his illness, he had to cancel absolutely all his projects, both musical and television. Now, everything seems to be going well for the singer. After having experienced a recurrence of his cancer for having moved away from the course of care, he is now much better. He will also be back this summer in various festivals. And it is in this context that he granted an interview to the magazine The cultural craving Sunday, July 9, 2023. The father of the family has agreed to share some confidences about his cancer and what it has changed in his personal life: “This problem, when it happens, he does a fucking clean up around you” he confides at first. “It takes a place that you do not even imagine, that this something can jostle me at this point”.
An unexpected upheaval
This is the reason that prompted him to make his fight public: “Either the production canceled the tour without explanation or I announced it. In the age of Instagram, I thought it was the right time to use it to spread the message, knowing that 300,000 people follow me on this social network. A leap into the unknown which was not easy to manage at first but which Florent Pagny decided to take head on. All of his current projects, including the writing of his autobiography, had to be reviewed: “This cancer has changed everything. The tour is canceled and the book takes another turn : a plunge into the unknown that we are going to experience, evolving, over the course of events”. A moving moment in his life which will therefore remain engraved forever in his life, but also in the minds of his many fans.
