The rest of the competition will be carried out in pairs with one of the brigade leaders of the M6 show. News that surprised all the remaining seven cooks.
To determine the duos who will face each other in the next episodes, the candidates had to complete two tests. The first gave the winning participants the opportunity to choose the chef who will continue the program alongside them. An “oil spill” dish in Top Chef
For this first Top Chef event, the candidates fought on modern envelope theme. This involved taking a product and cooking others inside. It was of course necessary that the container and the contents be in harmony and that the envelope should be enjoyed as an integral part of the dish. To pass their 1h30 test, the chefs had to play with the cooking of their ingredients.
During the tasting, Jorick’s dish attracted a lot of attention. Titled “Food chain in oil spill”, he did not convince Internet users. For what ? Quite simply because the visual was far from inspiring. “Ah yes, the oil spill caused damage”, “After Arnaud and his pee in the snow, Jorick and his flat oil spill…”, we could read on X.

Although Internet users had some doubts when discovering Jorick’s dish, the brigade chefs who tasted the candidates’ plates really appreciated it. And for good reason, the latter was one of the winning chefs in the modern envelope test. Following this, he had the opportunity to choose the chef with whom he would continue the adventure as a pair. And it’s Stéphanie Lequellec that the young man wanted to select.
Jorick was therefore not the only one to have the opportunity to choose his partner. This is also the case for Marie, the last woman still in the running in Top Chef. As one might have expected, she asked Philippe Etchebest to work in duo with her. An association that will certainly do wonders in the M6 program!
