Specializing in cycling equipment since 2013, the Californian brand Ornot has released a brand new version of its Handlebar Bag, marketed since 2016, we learn Bike Rumor. This type of bag fits perfectly into a bikepaking trip, where your muscle bike or electric bike accommodates multiple storage racks.

This bag fits on the handlebars, thanks to a simple attachment system, using two straps. A cord then allows you to permanently attach it to the stem, so that it does not shake during your journeys.

Three well-designed external pockets

But its biggest assets lie above all in its storage spaces. Certainly, the overall capacity of this bag is not huge – 3.1 liters – but its various external pockets make it very practical for accessing various personal effects that you want to have close at hand.

The side pocket has, for example, been designed to insert a phone. For its part, the rear pocket is ideal for storing food, while the front pocket can be useful for holding a pair of glasses for example, or any other object. The idea is to be able to access it without necessarily having to open your container.

Above, a zipped opening has been favored by the brand. Here again, the choice is interesting. Some bags only have a single side opening. Therefore, to access some of your belongings, you sometimes have to take them all out, at least depending on their location within your bag.

Here, the zipped opening allows you to have an overview of your gear, and to access it much more easily.

Price and availability

Available in three colors – black, coyote and white – and weighing 260 grams, this Handlebar Bag is available on the official website for $86. In the purchase simulation, France is one of the countries where deliveries are made. However, expect additional charges.
