In less than a week, a new film has dethroned the second installment of the highly anticipated 365 DNI on Netflix.

When released on Netflix on April 27, 2022, the sequel to the film 365 IDs hit the streaming platform. The film retracing the adventures of Don Massimo Torricelli and Laura Biel continued to fascinate the public. Barbara Białowąs’ feature film naturally made it into the top 10 trends Netflix. This is the movie On the road to the future. Available on Netflix since May 6, 2022, this romantic drama is adapted from the novel by writer Sarah Dessen entitled Listen to her, Forever…until tomorrow. Since arriving on the platform, On the way to the future aroused such interest among viewers, that it exceeded 365 ID 2 in just six days. This romantic comedy tells the story of Auden, a teenager who comes to vacation in Colby Beach before entering university. Pretty, intelligent and ambitious, she has everything to be happy. Only, in reality, Auden is a lonely and sad young girl who locks herself in her work until she meets Eli. during a night walk. Insomniac like her, Eli challenges her to make her childhood dreams come true and live her life to the fullest.

A possible sequel to Road to the Future?

With such success, it wouldn’t be impossible for Netflix to produce the sequel to the film. At least that’s what subscribers to the platform who watched On the way to the future. Netflix did not answer their questions, but it seems unlikely that a sequel will be produced, because the platform is already working on adapting other novels by Sarah Dessen. In addition to On the road to the future, This Lullaby and Once and For All should be adapted by Netflix which has not yet communicated a release date.
