The market for electric bikes is growing. More and more people are adopting electrically assisted bicycle (VAE) for their daily travel and leisure activities. A recent study by ADEME and the Association of Public Cycling Actors shows that the use of e-bikes continues to take precedence over cars, it has doubled in cities like Paris, particularly since the ban on electric scooters self service. Additionally, a just-released survey revealed that 73.5% of users are satisfied with the range of their bike.

THE HeritageBike workshops, based in Annecy, continue to stand out with their innovations. Founded four years ago by Xavier Wargniez and Guillaume Monsigny, the company recently presented the Heritage Altitude 2×2. This new model without chain is distinguished by its dual motorization, a world premiere in the field of electric mountain bikes. This bike uses algorithms to adjust the resistance of the crankset according to the cadence and the pressure exerted on it to optimize the effort provided by the cyclist.

On the same subject – This new electric bike promises up to 120 km of autonomy, who could say better?

This electric mountain bike, designed in collaboration with Cixl Active Mobility, stands out for its energy recovery. The energy generated during pedaling is recovered and used to extend the battery life of the bike. There dual engine of the Heritage Altitude 2×2 promises to offer superior performance compared to traditional mountain bikes.

With a maximum power of 1125 W, it clearly outperforms bikes equipped with a single motor. This innovation not only allows rapid acceleration but also better performance on the most difficult terrains. In addition, the absence of chain and mechanical transmission reduces the risk of wear and maintenance. Note that its components mainly come from French suppliers.

This full-suspension mountain bike will be marketed at the end of 2024. Its price remains to be determined, but it is already attracting a lot of interest. Fans of versatile VAEs will be able to discover its performance and the technologies it hides from us during its official presentation at the Eurobike show in Frankfurt, July 3 to 7, 2024.
