This “electric bike” equipped with three batteries impresses with its record autonomy


The manufacturer Fiido has put online a soon-to-be-launched electric two-wheeler called Titan. His particuliarity ? A total of three batteries and a theoretical range of 400 km.

Fiido is a Chinese brand of electric bicycles mainly known for its compact and folding models. We also tested the Fiido D11 in 2020, for a decent but not breathtaking result either. This manufacturer now seems to be targeting another category of VAE, that of the all-road bike designed for trekking.

Its French site in any case highlights a brand new model called Titan. In the background, an overall photo of the cycle shows us an imposing machine, with very wide tires and probably a significant weight. Some initial information published on this page is provided by the manufacturer, to give us an idea of ​​what it has in its belly.

Up to 400 km of autonomy

Obviously, the triple battery and the announced autonomy are the two elements that appeal to us the most. In addition to a first accumulator probably integrated into the frame, two other batteries are installed in two special supports, fixed on either side of the rear wheel, in continuity with the bases.

In doing so, this Fiido Titan would be able to travel up to 400 kilometers, a gargantuan value for an electric bike. Obviously, the brand does not specify with what mode of assistance this feat is possible. As a reminder, companies like to communicate areas of action that are generally promising and enticing, but calculated using mode 1.

Fiido also mentions a central screen acting as an on-board computer, as well as 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes.

A speedbike rather than an e-bike?

For its part, the media eBikeNews we are not talking about electric bikes here, but about speedbikes. And this is because of a 750 W motor capable of propelling you to a speed of 45 km/h. This type of machine belongs to the speedbike family, governed in France by moped legislation (compulsory insurance, approved helmets and gloves, prohibited cycle paths).

On its site, Fiido does not officially specify which category its machine belongs to: that of e-bikes, or that of speedbikes. We think that the manufacturer is banking on the first option, as speedbikes are having difficulty finding a place in the French cycle landscape.
