Product recalls are not over! Every week, the dedicated government site publishes numerous recall procedures whether they are voluntary and submitted by the brands or not. If last week, certain food products were affected, notably plain stirred yogurts from the Activia brand or even cakes sold at Action, this week it is the hygiene and beauty section which is paying the price.
The official Rappel Conso website has just published a voluntary discontinuation of the La Canopée brand which offers cosmetics of 100% natural origin. In fact, a batch of universal cream normal size Airless 50 ml was recalled due to risk of irritation. It’s the batch G132 with barcode 3770008236196 with an expiry date of 04/01/2025 marketed between 04/05/2023 and 05/25/2023 which is affected by the recall procedure. These products were sold throughout France through several resellers, concept stores, pharmacies, institutes and others of which you will find the list on the official recall sheet.

The brand calls for no longer using the batch concerned
If La Canopée has made the decision to recall these references, it is because the consumer risks certain problems with irritation and external injuries. The contamination of part of the batch by a pathogen: the yeast C. albicans is involved. It is also indicated in the recall sheet that the products concerned would have an altered odor.
It is therefore strongly recommended to no longer use the product and to contact either the point of sale or the brand’s consumer service on 06 17 62 98 45 or at the following address [email protected]. You will then be able to benefit from a refund or an exchange for an uncontaminated product. The recall procedure ends on Tuesday April 1, 2025, after this date no product will be taken back or refunded.
