The performances in The Voice are often incredible, but sometimes it happens that they do not appeal to the coaches, as was the case with Lia, whose cover strongly reminded us of that of a candidate on a famous show.
Since two weeks, The Voice is back on television, to the delight of viewers. An opportunity for them to find a well-known jury with Zazie, Bigflo and Oli, Vianney and Mika. The opportunity also to witness incredible vocal performances, as was notably the case with Oléma, but also with Lize, a young 25-year-old candidate whose resemblance to two singers has caused talk on the networks. For these two talents, the coaches were all won over. Unfortunately, this is not always the case, as we have seen with young Lia, only 17 years old. She launched into the adventure by taking up the title “What does it matter” by Juliette Armanet. A beautiful song which is however not so easy to interpret, as the young girl noticed this Saturday February 17.

If it is not easy to sing, it is above all because, during the chorus, the voice rises very high, and it is difficult to hold the note. The coaches were initially seduced by Lia’s voice, until she finally derailed. No coach turned around, but they still wanted to reassure the teenager about her vocal performance. For Internet users, this recalled a scene they had witnessed in another show, Star Academy. This moment when Julien tried to sing “The Cathedrals Time” and where his voice, like Lia’s, went off the rails. Internet users therefore had a field day, comparing the two candidates: “The cathedral burned a third time“, “She made us a cathedral“, “Lia = Julien’s cathedral“, “Making a cathedral on The Voice is unforgiving“. But don’t worry, the girl will improve with time.

Mia conquered the jurors
Originally from Marseille and aged 31, the candidate decided to perform “Call out my name” in front of the coaches. A performance which did not leave them indifferent, as Zazie proved by turning around first upon hearing the young woman’s voice. Described as “stage beast“, or even “diva“, Mia did not take long to make her choice as to who would accompany her in the rest of the adventure. In fact, she chose Mika, who was her first choice.
