This father dies like a hero saving three of his children from drowning

A real hero. Last Sunday Jonathan Stevens, a father of seven, took to the beach at Barmouth in Wales. At lunchtime, three of her children, aged 10 to 12, began to struggle in the water. Trapped in a violent current, it was under the panicked eyes of their father that they gradually began to lose their strength. Borrowing in courage, Jonathan quickly jumped into the water in an attempt to bring them back to the edge of the shore. This is how he will lose his life.

Police and Coast Guard were told a man was in serious trouble. A rescue team quickly arrived on the scene and a major device was deployed (a search and rescue helicopter and two ambulances). "We were called at 13:39 to receive reports of people caught in an ebbing tide on Barmouth beach", said a spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service.

A devastated mother

Jonathan was still alive when he was rescued. Transferred to hospital in serious condition, he unfortunately died a few hours later. The children's mother was at home when the tragedy unfolded. Devastated, she wanted to pay tribute to her husband. “I am absolutely devastated to say that I have lost all the love of my life. Her seven beautiful children have lost their father. He died saving the lives of his children in the sea. I will always be grateful to him for bringing our babies back. I love it, I always did it and I always will ”.
