This female rap group covers the 2020 hit and the result is awesome

Eight talented rappers from Marseille have taken over the hit "Organized Band", originally performed by Jul and his cronies. And the result is awesome.

A feminine Made In Marseille flow, this is the great discovery of the moment. Which allows the hit of summer 2020, Organized band, originally performed by rappers Jul, SCH, Kofs, Soso Maness, Naps, Houari, Elams and Solda, to make a second youth. This time, it is the rappers Saaphyra, Veemie, Tehila Ora, Ladyland, Léna Morgan, Mina West, Mely and Lil So who seize the tube to 170 million views. With the same intensity in the verses as their male counterparts.

"I accepted, because for me, through this clip, it was a way of sticking together, between us, because clearly, otherwise, no one will help us and give us the light", explains Lil So at 20 minutes. "I've been doing rap for 12 years. I've done Skyrock, which has millions of views, and frankly, it's hard to break into when you're a girl in a men's environment. However, I am a girl from La Castellane, I have seen things in my life, I don't rap like a girl! ", she adds.

A nice snub in video to the music industry, which prefers to invest in rappers. According to Tehila Ora, the big names of Marseille rap would boycott them: "They see us nowhere. They prefer to party with Parisians than to call us…", she laments on 20 Minutes. As of November 18, 2020, the new version of "Organized Band" has already been viewed 417,989 times. Between hateful comments and encouragement, Ladyland says she has "received from these messages on social networks, something crazy. Messages which told me that the place of women is in the kitchen … When I was in the world of jazz or soul, I had never lived it."
Like the whole of society, rap still has a long way to go to put an end to machismo. In the meantime, the Marseille rappers are taking the lead.
