This perfume launched 10 years ago by a French house seduces the women of the planet. Addictive and indulgent, La Vie est Belle by Lancôme sells every 10 seconds around the world.
There are a multitude of perfumes for women, yet only a handful manage to distinguish themselves in terms of sales. Last year is Life is Beautiful by Lancome which did well by recording the most sales between January and October 2021 in perfumeries and department stores, according to figures from the NPD group.
Released in 2012, or 10 years ago, La Vie est Belle still appeals as much. Since its launch, this emblematic fragrance from Lancôme has made a name for itself, and not just in France. The pretty bottle called “the crystal smile” has conquered women all over the world. Because if La Vie est Belle sells every minute in France… it sells out every 10 seconds worldwide, according to figures released by the brand. With its notes ofiris of Pallida and jasmine sambac associated with a sweet accord composed of vanilla, tonka bean, praline, blackcurrant and pear, La Vie est Belle is a fragrance tasty and addictive.
3 perfumers, 5521 versions and 3 years of work
Its composition has also been meticulously worked. “Usually perfumes are made up of more than 150 raw materials. Contrary to popular belief, the composition with few raw materials is the guarantee of an exceptional perfume; it took 63 to write Life is Beautiful”, explained Lancôme through a press release. An iconic fragrance that required three years of work from three perfumers selected from among the bigger “noses” of the planet and 5,521 different versions. Just that !
