We have discovered a sixth and future urban electric bike from the Tenways brand, which is inspired by the famous Cowboy for its design. It could arm itself with an interesting advantage, namely a more affordable price.
Founded in 2021, Tenways displays impressive dynamism and a desire to shake up the urban electric bike market. The Chinese brand logically produces in Asia, which allows it to cut prices. Already offering 5 models, the catalog will continue to grow. According to our information, a sixth is coming: we were able to find the design for you via the World Intellectual Property Organization, also called WIPO.
A powerful bike from Cowboy and VanMoof
After the fitness CGO600 (Pro), the classic CGO800S, as well as the recent more versatile AGO T and X, the group would like to launch a more urban and trendy model. In the style of this new rigid electric bike (without suspension), we detect a bit of Cowboy, especially in the high frame version and its lighting in line with the upper tube.
The latter also has a console to control the ignition and modes, because the bike will not have a screen like the AGOs. The front headlight will be close to the other Tenways CGO600 Pro or AGO X, and the battery will remain integrated into the downtube.
There are no features announced yet, but images unearthed allow us to see a belt for the transmission, while the motor would be placed on the rear hub. Unlike Cowboy, the bike is available in a low, semi-open frame, like a VanMoof A5. In addition, Tenways draws from its Dutch via a secondary battery option like Powerbank.
The future Tenways will undoubtedly be connected to an application for more information and a meter that can be used with the smartphone on support. In terms of equipment, it should be equipped with mudguards and a rear luggage rack. According to our estimates, its price should be around 2000 euros, i.e. a price in idea lower than a Cowboy without options.
The Tenways Cargo One two-wheeler soon available?
In addition to this urban bike, Tenways will attempt a foray into electric cargo bikes. Its first of its kind is a two-wheeler, the Cargo One, presented at Eurobike and at Vélo in Paris at the start of summer 2023. Initially planned for a start at the start of the school year, it seems to be falling behind schedule. Its price would be 4,999 euros. A competitive price with its huge battery (960 Wh), its Bafang M600 central motor and an Enviolo transmission.
