One might have thought this was impossible, as it had several issues during its development: it was first announced in 2016, then postponed numerous times. “We had originally planned to release both Eleven and Yo-Kai Watch titles simultaneously, but given specific business circumstances, we decided to prioritize the development of Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y over that of ‘Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes (former name). We are sorry for this situation,” explained Akihiro Hino, president of Level-5, in 2020.

Released a day early, this update adds a Story mode to Victory Road containing a modified version of Chapter 1 of the full game. With 1.1.0, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road seems ready to do anything to take a bright path and become a must-have in the license upon its release.
