After 10 years of waiting, the arrival of this football game is finally acclaimed. Fans came in large numbers to discover its free beta.

A license always at the top

Video games based on Japanese animated series are still just as popular, and this football title will not say the opposite. Technically, sports games remain in high demand, such as EA Sports FC 24. However, this license has not been able to come back every year like the Electronic Arts software. Obviously, the players grew impatient, but they couldn’t have known that they would have to wait a decade before hearing about it again. So when they were finally able to get their hands on the game, they all gathered together and were finally over a million to download the free beta version.

An unexpected arrival

If the free version of Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road attracted more than a million players, we wish the full game would be such a success! After ten years of waiting, this football title is finally out of the closet. One might have thought this was impossible, as it had several issues during its development: it was first announced in 2016, then postponed numerous times. “We had originally planned to release both Eleven and Yo-Kai Watch titles simultaneously, but given specific business circumstances, we decided to prioritize the development of Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y over that of ‘Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes (former name). We are sorry for this situation,” explained Akihiro Hino, president of Level-5, in 2020.

However, as explained previously, the free beta has already made more than a million people happy. We can say that it is quite impressive. We tell you more in our test, which was a real surprise. However, this one is not finished because it has just been, accompanied of an update. Released a day early, this update adds a Story mode to Victory Road containing a modified version of Chapter 1 of the full game. It also incorporates the Alius Master team on Legendary Hero difficulty, as well as several gameplay adjustments. With 1.1.0, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road seems ready to do anything to take a bright path and become a must-have in the license upon its release. We already know that many other additions will be made between now and the release of the full title, during the year 2024, on all consoles.
