Around 3.30 p.m., the President of the French Republic asked voters to “give a solid majority” in the country, on behalf of “the superior interior of the Nation”stating that “nothing would be worse than adding a French mess to the world mess”. “We are at the time of choices and the great choices are never made by abstention. I therefore appeal to your common sense and to the Republican start”. And to add: “On Sunday, no voice must be missing from the Republic”.

“An escape side of Varennes”

Some majority candidates do not hesitate to criticize the image conveyed on the airport tarmac. “Say: ‘There’s a fire at home, be serious and go vote, I’m leaving’, it’s still surreal.
