The Black Shark brand has announced a new connected watch that integrates ChatGPT to ask questions directly from your wrist.
If Xiaomi’s Poco, Mi or Redmi brands are well known, Xiaomi is also developing devices geared towards gaming with its Black Shark brand. The manufacturer has just announced a new connected watch under this brand, the Black Shark S1 Pro, with a truly innovative function: the integration of ChatGPT.
We are used to connected watches that have a voice assistant to answer questions or make calls. Generally, we will find Siri on Apple Watches, Google Assistant on models running Wear OS and Alexa on certain models. However, the Black Shark S1 Pro promises to go a little further with a “ ChatGPT support “.
ChatGPT instead of Alexa, Siri or Google Assistant
Concretely, this integration should allow users to directly ask questions by voice to ChatGPT from their connected watch, as indicated on the siteGSMArena: “Black Shark says ChatGPT integration will allow the smart assistant to respond to simple queries that will likely be relayed from the watch to your paired smartphone“. It is therefore unlikely that the watch itself will be powerful or intelligent enough to integrate ChatGPT natively and it will therefore require not only a Bluetooth connection to the smartphone, but also an Internet connection to take advantage of this functionality.
In addition to this very original voice assistant, the Black Shark S1 Pro benefits from a 1.43-inch diameter Oled screen. It features the RTOS system, like the Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro, as well as a battery life of 15 days according to the manufacturer. Obviously, sports and health data are included with a heart rate monitor and a pulse oximeter. Gaming-oriented, the watch also offers a “gaming health tracking mode”, without further details.
The Blackk Shark S1 Pro connected watch is already available in blue or black. It is offered in France at the price of 48 euros.
