The premiere flight from New York to Los Angeles on May 23rd is already fully booked – despite the high ticket prices. A one-way flight in June from New York to Los Angeles costs 6,000 US dollars, the equivalent of around 5,500 euros. A flight from New York to London costs almost 7,500 euros. However, the ticket is valid for one dog and its owner. BARK also states that it wants to reduce the cost of tickets in the future.

“We have launched this aviation service because, despite the enormous demand from dog lovers, there is simply no good or convenient solution for traveling long distances with your dog,” the company explains on its website. “The welfare of the dog comes first, the human second.”
The partnership with a charter airline enables BARK Air to completely tailor the flight experience to the needs of four-legged friends – with the aim of creating the highest level of comfort and happiness for the dog. On the flights, the animal passengers will have the opportunity to socialize with each other and will receive treats, noise-reducing earmuffs and drinks. For emergency relief, there are special areas both before boarding and emergency mats on board.
