Gamescom 2023 could be the perfect time for AMD to show off its new mid-range RX 7000 series GPUs.

AMD Corporate Vice President Scott Herkelman recently hinted in a post on X.com that the company will unveil major products at Gamescom 2023. The brand’s customer expectations are high, d as a rather important leak has just taken place, revealing the future RX 7800 XT.

The arrival of mid-range 7000 series GPUs?

Last December, the RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT were released, AMD’s highest-end GPUs. A few months later, in May, the company unveiled a new, more affordable graphics card: the RX 7600 XT. Since then, it’s been dead calm about the 7000 series, despite an official announcement of the RX 7800 XT from AMD.

It was ultimately an “accidental” leak from the PowerColor company that hinted at what the future RX 7800 XT could look like. We see three large fans and a thickness that at first glance seems less than that of high-end GPUs.

With an entry level and a top of the range sufficiently furnished, all that was missing was the in-between for the 7000 family to be complete. See you on August 25 at 11 a.m. to follow AMD’s press conference at Gamescom 2023 in Cologne, Germany.
