Maybe you’ve heard of needlepilation before. How it works and what you should pay attention to, you will find out here.

What is a needle epilation and what happens in the treatment room? If this is for you, you can find out here.

What is needle epilation?

Needle epilation is a method of permanent hair removal (as opposed to depilation ). Needle epilation (also: electroepilation) destroys the hair root via a current pulse by a sterile disposable needle is guided into the hair channel. The process only takes so long that, although the hair root, but not the skin is disturbed. The hair is removed after the current pulse with the tweezers.

Three methods of needle epilation

The process is the same, yet the methods differ. The electrolysis works with direct current, which destroys the follicle by means of a chemical reaction. Thermolysis obliterates the hair root by heat generated by high-frequency current in the needle. The blend method is a combination of the first two, where the alternating current is used for acceleration.

Nadelepiltion: That’s waiting for you

At the beginning, a consultation will take place in which both an anamnesis is made and discussed, what the customer has imagined. The prices vary greatly depending on the area and can be between 30 and 100 euros. Sometimes it is charged according to time and no flat rate for a body price offered. For all hair roots to be destroyed, about four to six treatments are recommended. There are several weeks off between the appointments.

For which areas is needle epilation suitable?

The electroepilation is both in the face, z. B. for a witch’s hair or the ladybeard , as well as for treatment on the body.

Needle epilation – prerequisite

In contrast to other methods, such as the IPL method, the hair does not have to be dark and there is no specific skin type. Even bright hairs can therefore be removed with this type.

When treating the hairs must be about 2 to 3 mm long, ie before waxing o. Ä. is not an option. After the treatment for about three days extreme heat or contact with water should be avoided – that is: not in the sauna and not go to the pool. As with other methods, even after a needle epilation treatment, sunbathing should be avoided for several weeks.
