This shock thriller, carried by Swann Arlaud, the German actress Sandra Hüller and the young Milo Machada Graner, follows the trial of a woman accused of having killed her husband a year earlier. The American actress and activist looked back on her first time at Cannes in 1963 and feels she’s come a long way: “No women were competing at the time, but we didn’t notice anything. The French director then took Jane Fonda in her arms before recovering her prize and delivering a powerful and committed speech on the cinema crisis and the wave of historical protest that France has gone through.
She then went to thank the Jury who rewarded her, but during this time, a hilarious (but furtive) moment occurred.
