If there is a smartphone that is eagerly awaited, it is the iPhone 15. Apple announces that its new mobile phone should be a commercial success and therefore places great hopes in a device that has the heavy task of doing forget somewhat sluggish iPhone 14 sales. We are only at a month from the presentation of the new Cupertino phone and a new leak confirms some rumors that were circulating about him.

Majin Bu has posted photos of what appears to be a prototype iPhone 15 Pro. Although this is only a model, this leak confirms several things. On the one hand, the switch allowing to activate the silent mode has indeed been replaced by a capacitive action button which will make it possible to control various functions of the device according to the length and/or the intensity of the pressure.

A leak confirms the presence of a USB-C socket on the iPhone 15 Pro

The other important information that can be deduced from these images is that the USB-C socket is present on the iPhone 15 Pro. Apple has therefore complied well with the injunctions of the EU, and the adoption of the standardized connector has therefore been faster than expected. That said, even if the Cupertino company integrates this decision a little reluctantly, it does not say goodbye to the MFi certification, Made For iOS, which allows it to earn money by licensing accessories compatible with its devices.

There is thus a rumor that Apple will implement a chip in the iPhone 15 that will differentiate MFi-certified cables from others. Some will benefit from the maximum transfer speeds offered by USB 3.1 Gen 2, while others will have to settle for slower speeds. Note that on the pictures, the Dynamic Island is always present. The dynamic notch of iPhones is on the way to becoming a real signature for the brand; so much so that it is rumored that it should be available on all iPhone 15.
