Major brands such as Carrefour, Lidl or Primark have beauty products with excellent value for money. Some are even very good dupes of luxury products! The Action brand is no exception to the rule by offering low-cost cosmetics inspired by references sold in perfumery. In particular, we spotted a lip mask that is making a buzz on social networks.
In effect, the Overnight lip mask sold at Action for €0.99 would be a perfect dupe of the Lip Sleeping Mask Laneige available at 24€ at Sephora. If the two products display the same promises and the same vanilla fragrance, are they really dupes? We give you our opinion. To get an idea, we looked at their INCI lists.
What is the Action Lip Overnight Mask worth?
Sold at the unbeatable price of €0.99, the Action lip night mask has an enveloping texture, it repairs the lips well and its fragrance is very pleasant according to users. If we look at the first ingredients of its INCI list, we see that it is paraffin oil and Vaseline, a fatty substance derived from petroleum. Lip Sleeping Mask Laneige has a more interesting composition, with fruit extracts rich in vitamin C, an extract of zinc, coffee and antioxidant and repairing quinoa. The Action product can be considered a dupe, in terms of texture and fragrance, but its effects on the lips are not the same as the Laneige mask.
Our advice for boosting the effectiveness of your night mask: apply the treatment to previously exfoliated lips then apply a generous layer of mask to the lips and their contours. Do not hesitate to massage the product to improve its penetration.
