With this simple trick, the nose is quickly cheated narrower

For many of us, when it comes to contouring, it ends with our make-up skills. There are so many things that can go wrong: A crooked line – and the desired effect is missing! However, good nose contouring can make a big difference. After all, the nose is the center of our face and we often wish it were a little bit narrower or had a different shape. With this simple hack from Instagram, the dreaded nose contouring should be child’s play.

Two different shades of concealer are applied to a wider makeup brush: a lighter shade for highlighting and a darker shade for contouring. Put the light concealer in the middle of the brush and apply the dark concealer next to it. This gives you a perfect contour template that can now be applied to the nose. Finally, the contour is slightly blended with the front of the brush and lo and behold: the nose is perfectly contoured! The trick shows: You don’t have to be a professional for simple nose contouring.

How often should you clean your hairbrush?

We wash, we care, we style, we hairdress – but do we also regularly clean our tools for the perfect hairstyle? Cleaning the hairbrush is at least as important as washing the hair itself, explains expert Dejan Garz on Instagram.

Sebum, styling residue, leave-in product, dead hair, dander – all of this collects in the hairbrush. If you now comb the freshly washed mane with it, the washing was practically in vain. “Not only is this unhygienic, it can also make your hair greasy and stringy,” warns the expert. According to him, you should thoroughly clean your hairbrush at least once a week. How it goes? “With an old toothbrush, some dish soap and water,” says Garz. Simply pour the soapy water over the brush and clean the gaps with the toothbrush.

Trend Alert! Barrette clasps are making a comeback

Our jewelry? We prefer to wear it on our heads now! Because eye-catching hair accessories in the form of clips and clips are currently celebrating their big comeback. Right at the forefront: the long barrette clasp. It was already the accessory par excellence in the nineties and a good 30 years later it is again one of the must-haves in your own jewelry box. The hype was triggered by brands such as Chanel and Ashley Williams, among others, who sent models with lavishly adorned hair down the catwalk for the spring/summer shows 2023.

The barrette clasp is back in trend at the latest after the presentation of Chanel.

Waiting for summer? I where! As a substitute for a hair tie in a low ponytail or as a cool accessory with a sleek look, the elongated clips are also perfect for the current autumn/winter season and ensure a shimmering eye-catcher in the mane with pearls, rhinestones and mother-of-pearl. Sparkling rhinestone models, which we were able to admire above all on the Chanel catwalk, are also ideal for the upcoming party season.

With this beauty hack, voluminous lashes are guaranteed

There is now a separate beauty product for every part of the face. This is nice, but not always necessary, because many products can be misused and used for different areas. For example, lipstick has landed on the cheeks for a long time and serves as a substitute for rouge. Now comes a new hack that shows us that one product can be used for many things. Instead of just putting the concealer on bumps and dark circles under the eyes, we should now also use it as a primer for the eyelashes.

For the trick to work, it’s best to use a liquid concealer with a fine brush or sponge as the tip. You apply this carefully to your unmade-up eyelashes. Then you can then use your favorite mascara as usual and apply mascara to your eyelashes. The concealer makes the hair look thicker and fuller. If you want to intensify the effect a little, you can dip the mascara in some transparent powder before applying make-up to get an even fuller look.
