The latest episode of Star Wars: Ahsoka is now available, and it’s undoubtedly an opportune time for fans to launch various speculations and interpretations about the events revealed. There is indeed room for discussion.
Warning, this article contains spoilers regarding the Ahsoka series, and more particularly the entirety of its last episode. We do not recommend continuing reading if you have not yet watched everything. As you may have noticed, episode 8, called “The Jedi, the Witch, and the Warlord”, includes many nods to the series The Clone Wars and Rebels. Notably a particularly important moment involving Baylan Skoll, one of the new antagonists of the Star Wars universe. His solitary mission leads this Force-sensitive mercenary to a set of colossal stone statues representing the “Ones”, a family of Force gods inhabiting the planet Mortis. But what does this mean?
A hypothesis that holds water for Star Wars Ahsoka
As observed in a crucial story arc of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, these characters act as living embodiments of the Force itself. The Son symbolizes the Dark Side of the Force, the Daughter the Light Side, and the Father represents the balance between these two aspects. Naturally, these statues in Ahsoka have generated speculation regarding the identity of the characters embodying these gods. Many people suggest that Anakin Skywalker is the Father and Ahsoka Tano is the Daughter, leaving some mystery regarding the Son. Some think that Baylan could be his representation…
Seasoned Star Wars actor Sam Witwer, who lent his voice to the Son during the Mortis arc in season 3 of The Clone Wars, could thus make his live action debut in this role, either in Ahsoka if the series is renewed for a second season, either in a future project. Because it is important to note that actor Ray Stevenson, playing Baylan, died recently. Fans and actors have also paid tribute to him. It will therefore inevitably be necessary to find a way to replace the actor for this role. How the storyline will play out in this regard remains to be seen.

This hypothesis is the most plausible, especially considering how Anakin has a preeminent destiny in the Star Wars universe. It all starts with him; he is the Chosen One for Qui-Gon Jinn, and Obi-Wan also shares this belief. The entire Clone Wars series sails around this idea. It therefore appears quite obvious that he embodies the Father. Both metaphorically and in the scenario.
