A passionate about Palworld looked through the files and came across a creature that is not (yet?) in the game. Its design will remind you of one of the most powerful Pokémon.
Since January 19, 2024, the world of video games has lived to the rhythm of a single phenomenon: Palworld, which stacks up the big numbers to everyone’s surprise. In the eyes of some, Palworld is however only a plagiarism of Pokémon. This discovery, spotted by Eurogamer on January 26, will probably not change their minds: a fan, Brian Cozzens, came across a file containing information on a new creature, whose look is reminiscent of one of the most popular Pokémon. most famous (and most powerful).
“Dark Mutant”, the (code?) name given to this Pal, actually resembles Mewtwo, or rather Mega-Mewtwo Y (a super evolution). We find physical features in common, such as this immense skull which forms a sort of tail and the general appearance (a levitating humanoid). There is still a big difference in color: “Dark Mutant” is black with touches of purple, while Mega-Mewtwo Y is white with touches of pink. It’s not enough to escape the patrol.

Soon a Pal Mewtwo in Palworld ?
Interviewed by Eurogamer, Brian Cozzens explains that he came across “Dark Mutant” while wanting to provide two tools made available to the community (an interactive map and a list of all Pals, with 3D visualization). In addition to the appearance of the creature, we can also discover the description that there could be in the Paldex: “ Some say that a single beam fired by a Dark Mutant who has perfected his technique can create breaches in other dimensions. It is even said that certain species of Pals appeared with this phenomenon. »
Judging by these few lines, “Dark Mutant” would be a very, very powerful Pal – like the Pokémon to which it is compared. To help out in your base, he would have three job abilities: Crafting (Level 3), Pharmacy (Level 3), and Transportation (Level 2). But, a priori, we would prefer to have him on his team to fight.
No one knows if “Dark Mutant” will be added soon in Palworld. But, the Pocketpair studio has already announced, via its roadmap, that additional Pals will be integrated in future updates. There will be other new features (PvP, raids, an arena, etc.), in addition to fixes for all the bugs encountered by the millions of players.
