DNA analysis has confirmed that the bodies found are indeed those of Leslie and Kevin. A mystery still persists around the young man and could be at the center of the crime.
The terrible news is now confirmed. DNA analysis confirmed that the bodies found on March 3 and 4 are indeed those of Leslie and Kevin. Kevin’s body was found in a field in the town of Puyravault and that of Leslie in the woods in the town of Virson. The bodies were found at 5 kilometers away, an element that intrigues the investigators. The autopsies should shed valuable light on the circumstances of the murder. If the crimes are known to have been committed by beatings with a blunt object, autopsies may help determine when and how Leslie and Kevin were killed. Three men were indicted, Tom Trouillet for “kidnapping and forcible confinement not followed by voluntary release.” And two other individuals have been indicted for “assassinations”, “modification of the scene of a crime to obstruct the discovery of the truth” And “kidnapping and confinement without voluntary release before the seventh day.”
The investigation must now determine the motive(s) for the crimes. Two hypotheses were made by the public prosecutor, Cyril Lacombe: “sentimental disappointment and, or, financial debts.” Several gray areas remain in the investigation. And in particular an important point: where did the 10,000 euros go that Kevin obviously had on him on November 25. His mother-in-law had said, during the search, that she had brought him the sum in Prahecq because he had to “to buy a car.“A sum which has still not reappeared and which could well be at the heart of the investigation.
