A newcomer to the world of artificial intelligence, Stable Doodle, developed by Stable AI, transforms simple strokes into drawings of different styles. A breakthrough that should allow anyone to create compelling results, even without artistic talent.
Artificial intelligence continues to evolve and offer increasingly intuitive tools. Latest, the tool Steady Doodle, developed by start-up Stability AI and integrated with its Clipdrop online tools platform. Its objective is simple: generate quality images from a sketch. Whether you’re already an artist or unable to draw anything other than a stick figure, artificial intelligence will come up with something compelling.

Stability AI combines its technology to generate an image from text and a “conditional control system” that understands the outlines of the sketch. Indeed, the Stable Doodle tool allows you to propose a drawing coupled with a query to obtain a more precise result. It can be an adjective (“a happy dog”) or a style (“photo-realistic”). The company also specifies that for the moment, only 14 styles are supported, to type yourself or to select from the list. More will be added soon.
Stable Doodle wants to make drawing creation accessible to everyone
The tool is intended “for professionals and novices alike, regardless of their familiarity with AI”, specifies Stability AI. During our tests, we realized the potential of Stable Doodle, but also its limitations. Getting a human without deformed hands is quite difficult for example. The developers are aware of this: “The result is dependent on the original sketch and the request given by the user”.
We can already imagine the usefulness of the program for an interior designer or an architect who would like to quickly transform a sketch into a result presentable to a client. Eventually, it will be possible to import these own drawings, continuous learning ensuring increasingly qualitative results. For now, Stable Doodle does not compete with Midjourney.
