Audi unveils a fourth concept car from its “Sphere” range.

An Audi concept to say the least… versatile
For the past two years, Audi has taken pleasure in occasionally unveiling various concept cars, brought together in its Sphere range. We were able to discover the Audi Skysphere in 2021, as well as the Audi Grandsphere sedan, not to mention the Audi Urbansphere last April.
At the start of 2023, Audi is unveiling Activesphere, a new 100% electric vehicle described as ” tailored to the demands of a future-oriented generation of Audi customers, for whom individual mobility and sustainability are not mutually exclusive. »
But the great strength of this new coupé SUV is its ability to transform… into a pick-up!
SUV or pickup? The two !
Indeed, fitted with wide 22″ rims and equipped with a ground clearance of 208 mm, the Audi Activesphere can, at the simple press of a button, be transformed into a pick-up, with an open cargo compartment. To do this, the window moves forward, while the sheet metal part lowers, making it possible, according to Audi, to easily transport electric bicycles and other water sports or winter equipment.
For its part, the ground clearance is also configurable according to the needs of the driver. For needs of the type off road », it can be increased by 40 mm, but for sportier driving, it is entirely possible to lower it by the same value.
On board, Audi favors a space that is both clear and orderly, with antagonistic opening doors, and four individual seats for optimal comfort. No superfluous screen here, and the possibility of folding the dashboard, steering wheel and pedal in autonomous driving mode to favor space on board and visibility. As such, the Singleframe grille is fully glazed, to provide passengers with a clear view of the road ahead.
No screen, no button, the interface on board is managed via the Audi Dimension, an augmented reality headset, which allows you to view the instrumentation or even virtual controls, while of course keeping an eye on your environment.
Assembled via the group’s PPE platform, this Audi Activesphere has electric motors placed on the front and rear axles, and delivers a total power of 325 kW and a torque of 720 Nm.
