Last May, as part of the Google I/O 2022the Mountain View firm had unveiled its plans for the future of Google Maps. But while waiting to discover what the famous mapping service has in store for us, the firm has just announced a brand new feature that should give you wings.

Did you miss your plane for your vacation? Don’t panic, Google Maps will have you gliding to your destination in no time as if you were there!

Immersive View, the future of Google Maps…

It’s been a few weeks since Google unveiled “Immersive View”, a new way to explore places with Google Maps. If you missed this announcement, remember that this feature will give you the opportunity to visit a city through accurate 3D representations of streets and monuments.

Only, Google does not intend to stop in such a good flight. These “immersive views” aim to bring another dimension to the application since they will not only show you the most popular cities and monuments from the outside. Indeed, you will also be able to access detailed interior views in order to be immersed in total immersion. The cities of Los Angeles, London, New York, San Francisco and Tokyo will be the first to come to life virtually thanks to Immersive View by the end of the year.

If all this has something to arouse curiosity, we will have to wait a little longer before we can try it. But in the meantime, make way for the “aerial views” freshly introduced by the American firm.

… but first, discover the aerial views!

On this scorching summer Wednesday, the American giant has just lifted the veil on “photorealistic aerial views” to come in Google Maps. As reported to us by The Verge, nearly one hundred landmarks will soon be added to Maps. These will allow you to enjoy aerial views in many cities around the world. This feature is reminiscent of the “Flyover” option of Apple Plans, which allows you to fly over the largest cities and tourist sites in the world.

Anyway, the deployment of aerial views of Maps has already begun, whether you are on iOS or Android. If you want to enjoy views worthy of the most beautiful synchronization points ofAssassin’s Creedyou should now monitor your smartphone.
