We expected it and Samsung was there. This Monday, the Korean manufacturer officially unveiled its new mid-range smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy A25. This is a first for a Galaxy A20 model, a range which until now was mainly offered for emerging markets, but not in France.

In detail, we are dealing here with a smartphone equipped with a 6.5-inch diagonal Amoled screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, display characteristics that are rather rare in this price segment.

For photography, the smartphone benefits from a 50-megapixel main wide-angle module with optical stabilization (f/1.8), an 8-megapixel module associated with an ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2, 2) and a 2 megapixel module dedicated to macro shooting (f/2.4). On the front, it is behind a notch in the shape of a drop of water, and not a punch, that Samsung has nestled its selfie camera with a 13 megapixel sensor (f/2.2). The smartphone is also capable of recording video sequences in 4K UHD at up to 30 frames per second and offering slow motion in HD at 480 frames per second, or in Full HD at 240 frames per second.

The new Samsung Galaxy A25 is also 5G compatible and benefits from Bluetooth 5.3. It is equipped with two SIM card slots, but also allows you to expand the storage with a microSD card, up to 1 TB. By default, you will be entitled to 128 or 256 GB of storage, and 6 or 8 GB of RAM. For the onboard processor, Samsung simply indicates that it is an eight-core chip clocked at 2.4 or 2 GHz. It is nevertheless a mid-range Exynos 1280 chip.

Regarding autonomy, you will need to count on a 5000 mAh battery allowing, according to Samsung, up to 19 hours of autonomy in 4G Internet use.

The Samsung Galaxy A25 is already available in three colors: midnight blue, blue or lime green. The smartphone is offered in France at a price of 319 euros for the 6/128 GB version and 379 euros for the 8/256 GB version.
