Assassin’s Creed Mirage was announced by Ubisoft as a return to basics. A new leak confirms the publisher’s desire to offer an experience close to that offered by the first opus.
While Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been globally enjoyed by gamers, it is considered by many to be the least successful episode of the Light-RPG era of the licensestarted in particular by the excellent AC Origins in Egypt.

In September 2022, Ubisoft is lifting the veil on Assassin’s Creed Mirage, a brand new episode that will feature basim, a character seen in AC Valhalla. This opus, which will take place in the 9th century in Baghdad, promises a return to basics. So goodbye to Light-RPG mechanics, excessive action and gigantic open worlds in favor of a more contained experience, centered on infiltration, information gathering and stealth assassination.

For the moment, we do not yet know in what form this return to origins will take place, due to lack of gameplay. However, a leak from insider xJonathan reveals some details.
On his Instagram account, he has just published what seems to be an image of the Assassin’s Creed Mirage menu. You can see some tabs like the classic Inventory and Tools, but also another titled Inquiry or Investigation. What confirms Ubisoft’s desire to put back at the center of the gameplay loop gathering information and clues about targets to be shot down.
One could imagine a presentation at the Hitmanwith sheets dedicated to each of our future victims and that would bring together key information such as his physical appearance, his movement habits, whether he is accompanied by bodyguards or not, etc. This information could appear according to the discoveries of the player.
This menu could also house mini games, which once completed, would allow to know more about the target. Of course, all this is pure speculation and we will have to wait this summer’s Ubisoft Forward to learn more about Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
