This new Vélib’ offer makes it easier to take care of business trips

To facilitate the use of bicycles in business in the Paris region, Vélib’ Pro offers offers to collaborators and employees, who no longer have to advance their expenses and can even be reimbursed.

In the Paris region, cycling is an excellent solution for getting around quickly and being more environmentally friendly. In addition to individual cycling, it has been possible to ride shared bikes since 2007, on the Vélib’ handlebars. Thanks to employer support for home-work journeys, it was previously possible to be reimbursed 50% of your subscription.

Vélib’ Pro accounts for employees

For several days, the service proclaiming itself “largest shared bike system in the world” offers a new offer to businesses: Vélib’ Pro, which also targets communities and associations, which can subscribe to accounts and journeys for their employees and collaborators. All offers are compatible with Vélib’ Pro:

• V-Libre Pro: pay-as-you-go, for occasional users;
• Ticket V Pro: single journey of 45 min;
• Classic 24H Pro Pass: 30-minute trips in a mechanical Vélib’;
• V-Max Pro, Pro 24H Electric Pass and 3-day Pro Pass: unlimited trips of 60 minutes on mechanical and 2 trips per day of 45 minutes on electric.

A specific Vélib’ Pro professional portal allows you to manage subscriptions and billings. However, the service does not indicate professional prices. For an individual, the one-off 45-minute journey costs 3 euros, the 3-day pass is 20 euros (5 bikes simultaneously) and the individual V-Max subscription is 9.30 euros/month.

The same open service for 20,000 bicycles in Paris and the suburbs

Companies can therefore offer subscription cards, tickets or passes for one or more users. The employee will therefore not have to spend any money, because there is no longer any need to subscribe or pay and then request reimbursement later.

Concerning the Vélib’ service, it is the same as for individuals. Access to 20,000 bicycles (including 8,000 electric bicycles) is possible in more than 1,000 stations across Paris and more than 400 in around sixty towns in the suburbs. Beforehand, you can also view the stations and bikes on the application. You must therefore pass the card on the terminal of the desired bicycle, and return the bicycle to another station to complete a journey.
