Last December, Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Watch 3, a connected watch positioned with a particularly aggressive price of 499 yuan, or 67 euros. However, as is often the case, the watch saw a nice price increase when it was launched in France with a price set at 149 euros last March.

In order to still offer a connected watch accessible on the French market, Xiaomi unveiled a new connected watch on Tuesday, the Xiaomi Redmi Watch 3 Active.

As its name suggests, this new connected watch is primarily intended for sports use. It thus offers 110 sports training sessions, including 10 qualified as “professionals», and allows to measure both the quality of sleep, daily activity monitoring, but also the heart rate or the oxygen saturation in the blood. Unsurprisingly for this price, the Redmi Watch 3 Active does not have a GPS chip to accurately track the distance traveled or the pace of your exercises.

A watch that acts as a hands-free kit

In addition to these sports functions, the watch features a 1.83-inch square LCD screen with a definition of 280 x 280 pixels – for 201 pixels per inch. It also has a microphone and a speaker to answer calls directly from your wrist without having to take your smartphone out of your pocket. Note, however, that you will necessarily have to have your phone with you, the watch being devoid of 4 G connectivity.

The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 3 Active is available in two colors, black or white, at a price of 49.99 euros.
