first lesson, Covid-19 was a trigger for 34% of respondents who claim to have started dreaming of change between the end of 2020 and the end of 2021. Certain regions such as Brittany and Normandy were particularly popular during this period: in question, the desire of the respondents to have more space (33%) and to change living environment (37%).
The increasingly important environmental aspect
However, there is no question of doing anything with your budget, especially in this period of rising mortgage rates, which necessarily reduces the budget of borrowers. Thereby, 71% of buyers surveyed respected the amount they had allocated, while 17% exceeded it. In addition, 42% of owners surveyed say they bought their home at the initial selling price and 45% say they paid a lower amount.

But the price is not the only aspect taken into consideration: the energy aspect of the property is also very largely taken into account: 74% of respondents admit to feeling concerned by the sustainable aspect when choosing a new property. To explain their attachment to the durability of the good, 99% of respondents claim to pay particular attention to energy efficiency, and 98% of them pay particular attention to the insulation of walls and windows. Issues that affect both owners and tenants, time or energy bills could increase by 10% to 15%. The use of sustainable materials in construction is also favored by 91% of respondents.
