It is in the mid-range smartphone segment that manufacturers are waging the biggest battle. The one which consists of offering the best features at the lowest possible price. In this little game, Motorola seems to have taken a head start.

The manufacturer unveiled its edge40 Neo a few weeks ago, a smartphone with exemplary features given its price set at 399 euros. In addition, until November 12, the American brand is offering you with its edge40 Neo a pair of Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II headphones worth 295 euros.

Premium design, waterproofing, 144 Hz AMOLED screen: every detail counts

Although launched below 400 euros, the Motorola edge40 Neo is full of nice surprises. From its polished design to its remarkable display quality, the American brand has omitted no detail.

Thin and light, this smartphone measuring 7.9 mm thick for a featherweight of 172 grams, it is also very soft to the touch thanks to its vegetable leather back. Motorola has available it in three original and exclusive shades, developed in partnership with the color specialist Pantone: Soothing Sea blue, Caneel Bay green and Black Beauty black.

To perfect this already neat design, the group has equipped the edge40 Neo with a magnificent 6.5-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED screen, which also benefits from a refresh rate of 144 Hz. Such a level of equipment is usually reserved for the most premium models. A dual speaker system compatible with Dolby Atmos is also included, to offer sound immersion even without headphones.

For its latest addition, Motorola has also focused on robustness. The American brand has chosen Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect the panel and promises water and dust resistance for this smartphone (IP68 certification). The edge40 Neo can follow you everywhere, by the pool or during your session running.

In addition, as it is powered by a large 5000 mAh battery, this smartphone can last more than a day with standard use. If necessary, thanks to its 68 W TurboPower charging, it only takes a few minutes to refuel. The 68 W charger is also supplied with the smartphone, alongside a protective shell designed using plants.

Ultra-sharp photos and videos

If the Motorola edge40 Neo is beautiful, this smartphone does not lack power either since it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7030 chip, coupled with 12 GB of RAM.

By opting for such a configuration, Motorola was able to bring some developments in terms of photography. On this point, the American brand has mainly focused on sharpness and combines the 50 megapixel main sensor with a double optical image stabilizer suitable for both photography and video (4K). So, when you film, you remain completely free to move. If you shake or accidentally turn the smartphone slightly, the output will still be stable, sharp and level.

In addition, the American brand has also worked to improve the quality of photos taken at night. Night Vision mode is then reinforced by Motorola’s Instant All-Pixel Focus technology, responsible for achieving rapid focusing, even in the dark. Night photos then gain in brightness and sharpness, whether taken with the main sensor or with the 13-megapixel sensor dedicated to ultra-wide-angle shots.

Motorola has also thought of selfie lovers and equipped its edge40 Neo with a beautiful 32 megapixel front camera, a rare asset on such an affordable smartphone.

To top it off, the brand offers you a nice storage space of 256 GB by default. Enough to test all your talents as a budding photographer and videographer without constraint.

Free Bose headphones

Unveiled in mid-September, the edge40 Neo is now available on the Motorola online store at the low price of 399 euros. For any order placed before November 12, the American brand is offering you a pair of Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II headphones worth 295 euros.
