This reality TV star tells her son he can't wear nail polish because he's a boy

A famous reality TV contestant, well known for her various bad-buzz, reveals a video with her children. In it, we see the young woman scolding her little girl, because the latter has applied nail polish on the fingers of her little brother. According to the mother, the little one is not allowed to varnish because he is a boy.

A reality TV star, Jazz, who notably participated in the Angels on the NRJ12 channel, and who now owns his own reality TV: the JLC Family (yes, à la Kim Kardashian), is controversial this week. Big fan of bad-buzz, Jazz – especially mother of a little girl named Chelsea (2 and a half years old) and a little boy named Cayden (1 and a half years old) – is often talked about on the networks social.

This time, the young woman posted a revolting story on her Instagram account. We see the mother walking towards her two children. Little Chelsea is kindly putting nail polish on her little brother's fingers, in all innocence. Jazz, in English, said to his daughter very firmly "Chelsea, why are you putting nail polish on Cayden?”. Afterwards, the woman reminds her oldest child that Cayden is not wearing nail polish because he is a boy. Not a very modern reaction!

An unlikely reaction

Jazz talks to his daughter as if the latter had made a terrible mistake, a big mistake.
The video advances, and the young mother hastens to tell her (very) young son "You don't put that on your Cayden nails, you're a boy”. If we listen well, we understand that the young woman is angry with her youngest child.

Even though cosmetics have always been imposed on girls and only girls, society is changing. No one has the right to tell someone that they do not have the right to wear makeup or to apply nail polish. A mother doesn't have to force her children into such an exchange, let alone in such a tone.

The rights of girls and boys

Remember, a boy has the RIGHT to apply varnish. It is worrying to realize that reality TV stars with a very large audience, composed almost entirely of teenagers or young adults, allow themselves to transmit this kind of message … and with such violence! Jazz is followed by more than 3 million people.

The rest of the video is no more reassuring. We see Cayden “banging” his mom in response to her ban. She responds by kicking him. An exchange that speaks for itself.

A nonsense is a nonsense, putting nail polish on your little brother IS putting nail polish on your little brother. Let's call a spade a spade.

Let us give our children the right to choose what they want to wear. Let young children have the right to try things, even more so when it's done with the innocence of this brother and sister.
